I am interested in building a model A sedan, and have found one to buy locally. I want to know if I can achieve the look I would like with the build, but also be able to fit inside the car comfortably. Is it possible to build a frame, and channel the car without raising the floor height? I want the ultra low stance, but also want it to be fairly comfortable inside. I particularly like the look of VooDoo Larry's sedan builds.

If you put the floor on the bottom of the frame rail you will gain what ever your frame thickness is. As far as getting the look you want? No, you won't be comfortable.

That is to say if you are 6 foot four, and 350 pounds. It is kind of a vauge question.

Try again, with some pictures, and more details.
Oh, and welcome to the site.

The definition of channeling is raising the floor height - so no, that isn't possible. Model A floors are close to flush with the bottom of the body anyways, so if you want a channel you gotta start cutting. Ultra low stance and comfort just don't go hand in hand, especially if you like to drive. VooPoo Larry trailers his cars anywhere they go anyways.

P.S. Do an intro... ;)

I am 6'4 and 279 1/2 lbs butt naked and I have a sedan. No it is not channled but chopped 5 and there is no seat riser and I have to take my hat of when I drive. COMFORT. NO. FUNN. YES.

I hav'nt done an A in a lot of years, but would'nt a slight channel and Zing the frame give you the room you want and the stance you have to have?
Just my thoughts?
Good luck with what ever you do.

In talking with some fellow car guys locally, as well as some car builders, it sounds like it is possible to Z the frame in the front and back, with minimal change in floor height. I guess the only way to find out is to do it. I will give it a try.
