The spa thing is a good idea most of the time. My wife always has enjoyed that. And they can go at their own leisure or on one of those "stressful days".
If you are going to sink about $300 or $400 on a camera or something exotic like that, I would throw the idea out there to take her on a cruise (in a big boat). Luckily we live within driving distance of a major port and we can catch a 3-5 day cruise for about $200-$400 per person. Not bad - and the food is free.. If you have to fly to the port, unfortunately that jacks up the cost. All in all, it will cost you more in the long run, but you get a vacation out of the deal for not much more than you'd spend on her present(s).
