i use a plasma cutter, i use a piece of angle iron set up as a guide, and it works perfect. very little grinding.mainly just to remove the cutting slag off the inside
I love the work on this. I have to say thought that the first owner wanting the Jag 12 is much cooler than another sbc. Hate that you had to do it twice.[P
cut access holes in the frame to get to the nuts and cotter pins for the tie rod ends, on the wish bones. welded some tabs i drilled and tapped to hold a flush mount cover on, used some allen machine screws.
made some good progress on it today, installed the passenger cowl panel i made, removed the wood track on the roof, made roof bows out of 1x1 that are arced like the originals, made a roof skin if he wants to go that route, i want to put 1000-1500 louvers in it so we will see, also made the hood. here are some pics
Nice work Mike!
I like the hood.I just made one for a 34 roadster.I didn't have a cutout in the middle, but the front is in a V shape! Pain in the Butt!
Looking good and low! Keep us updated![P
finished up the rear of the roof structure, fabbed and installed the driver side lower cowl panel, then rolled it out side in between rain showers to get a good look of it with the hood
