It wasn't that easy. We sat there for nearly 2 hours and out of 200 to 250
shots we were able to get these 2 that were close.
The bride and I have a friendly competition when it comes to lightning, sunsets and sunrise shots. She usually whips my tail but I won't ever admit it.

I was up on the side of the Goldfield mtns here in Az watching a t-storm in the distance many years ago.. The lightening would flash blood red, then blue, green,purple. Never saw anything like that before or since.

I would love to see that.
We saw a lightening storm above the forest fire in Yellowstone
that just blew me away. We couldn't get a picture to work at all
under those conditions tho.
