GMC hood and the rest of the front end is Chevy, the roof has been crunched a bit, drivers fender looks like smashed potatoes, and the passengers has some big dents. Then that door... $1000 for what, exactly? [S

for the home made door, it's one of a kind. lol

I know Doc...sorry and thank you. Somethings either wrong with my computer or maybe my old crippled brain isn't working as well today as I thought it was.

Glad to help. (I wanted to crush my computer with a brick yesterday.)

The truck: Looks like somebody's "custom" from the '70s or '80s. Diamond tuft by the yard. Tinted windows. Wide tires on... aluminum slots? :D

Bondo chunked off the front fender? That would concern me. It appears to be an amateur "splash" job, so it could be loaded with filler and/or hack repairs.

I don't think the price is ridiculous. It would be priced similar in my neck of the woods, though missing parts and overall condition ultimately dictate...

I just went over and looked at this thing...junk! I was only considering it because I have a 4X4 setup that I could make a cool "pasture" truck out of this...but it's too far gone and he's firm on the price. Thanks for the help.

Too bad it's junk. What exactly were the issues?

To me, it looked like it's probably rougher than the photos (the bondo that Doc mentioned), and being it's a 3/4 ton long bed and missing the grille, you'd really need to have it for that price.

Well, maybe not junk...but pretty bad. Lots and lots of thick bondo and almost rusted through in several places that looks like surface rust in the pictures. It could be saved...just not by me. :)
