lol well F@#!'n awesome bro, you definitely have skills and appreciate the good old fashioned maintenance post, makes me want to rotate some tires and change some oil and sh!t before cutting into some rusty a$$ sheet metal and fabricating haha!

Started on another furd hahahaha. Doing some rust repair and assembly stuff. This frame has been heavily modified and everything needs modifications. We will get it squared away!!

Didn't make it to get steel today. So I started on the front. It had this tube support structure built and installed once. It was removed by the hack shop ho covered all the rust with Bondo. I an re attaching it and making it removable which it was not before. Ran out of gas for the tig welder, so we shall continue tomorrow!!

I've seen it many times before, bugs the crap out of me every time.
Yeah but the sad thing is, that's a professional shop. There is way too much money invested in that work! The owner of the shop denies knowing that that was the type of work that was being done. Which I call BS on

Exactly. We have now reassembled this truck and it is going back to my buddy's shop who I was fixing this work for, for a regroup. I think we're going to start with a different cab just to avoid some of their nonsense and having to redo things. I know we'll have rust in the next cab we get but I think at this point they're such a sour taste and everyone's mouth with this one that it's just for the best
 
As sad as that is, it seemed to be the body shop standard repair around here. Most body shop's idea of quarter panel replacement or any outer body welding repair amounted to a tack weld every 2" - 3" then filled with kitty hair and filler. When I opened my welding shop, I had several local body shops bring those kind of repairs to me to weld together, then return to them so they could do the thing they liked to do. Most body shops around here don't want anything to do with welding. That made us a good team, I really didn't want anything to do with body work past the welding and structural repair.
A lot of local body and auto repair shops brought (or sent) the things that needed to be welded, or structurally repaired to me. When I was done doing my thing, I sent them back to the body or repair shops to finish their jobs. Those shops are always telling me how much they miss me since I retired.
