My soldering gun has a paddle shaped tip that came with it for welding plastic.

It is a slow process to melt down deep and then walk a puddle around a plastic plug. The plugs and filler material came from the stuff I cut off of the manifold.

Well now I know. Never too old to learn something new. That's what keeps this stuff interesting to me.

Good luck with it. Looks like it should work.
Do they make an aluminum intake for that engine? I know it wouldn't be cheap
but just wondering.

$459.00 at Summit Racing. The GM intake looks like it should flow pretty well (almost a tunnel ram)...its just ugly in stock form. I've almost got it beat into submission now.

That Edelbrock is kool looking but pricey.
