Hello everyone. Just getting in the hobby. My grandad raced in the 50's-60's and worked at the local race track for 22 years. I found a car that he and some buddies built and ran back then. Originally with a flathead ford then a nailhead buick. The car is at my house now. I am starting a tribute car using parts from it. Going for a street legal version. He had a 29 Model A sedan that he raced as well. That is what I am building. Here is the car then and now.

I have a model A chassis that I have started. Boxed, mini z in the rear.

l grew up around a 1/2 mile dirt track, dad raced a 37 chevy from 1961 to 1973.

my friend has a street legal winged sprint car, it's fun to see it goin' down the high way.

a couple pics of what we called modifieds in the 1960's and early 1970's.

Welcome from me also. Those pics remind me of the days when I first started wrench'n on old iron back around 1958 or so. My bud raced a 32 sedan, narrowed, on 40 ford rails with flatty and 4 97's. He raced at the old Olympic stadium and Riverside Mo. tracks. Look'n forward to build pics of ur project.
