Remember when Cracker Jacks had cool toys and Cereal had baking soda powered submarines? And for us older folks remember sticks of Peppermint candy in bags of flour or cups and saucers in boxes of washing powders? Well I though those days were long gone until Mrs. Snake Farm and I finally entered the modern technical age the other day and purchased one of them new fangled flat TV's......

Pretty impressed with the picture quality and the 3D is as good as any 3D that I've seen at the theater! But the best part was that on the back of the box was an awesome cool FREE dart board

It's a little bigger than a regulation board but it fit nicely on my garage door....

I proposed to Mrs Tripper by putting her engagement ring in a box of Cracker Jacks! And yes... I loved the baking soda subs! That stuff sold a lot of CJ!!! :D

I'm sure nobody but me remembers the little Fords and Mercurys that came in Cheerios i think.1954.

I remember popsicle sticks had point numbers stamped on them and you could send your old popsicle sticks to the company for prizes when you had enough points.....I'm going to have to collect enough sticks so I can get a 55" T.V. so I can get me one of those Jeff Gordon dart boards as well:D

I played with a baking soda submarine in the bathtub til a tiny little torpedo hit me in a sensitive area.

Bazooka gum had the same thing only with the wrapers + had little cartoon in it with, Bazooka Joe if memories server me right.

S and H Green Stamps. I remember my Mom having me lick them and stick them in that book. Probably something now determined to be toxic !

And whose decoder ring was that? Captain Midnight ?

How about candy cigarettes ? Talk about breaking kids in to smoke early !

I got a telescope with green stamps. Still have a blind spot in my right eye after looking at the sun with it. Prolly shouldnt have done that, but what the hell did I know at age 12? Hey who laughed?? Where'd you go?? I know you're there.

Pink elephant popcorn had little prizes in the box as well that needed assembly[S...I also remember that we use to get knives spoons and forks in boxes of Tide detergent....I think they also put in little ceramic ornaments and later tea towels...A Prize In Every Box!:)

That stuff used to be so stale and rubbery that it would squeek when you chewed it.

Anybody know the Cracker Jack kids name? It's not Jack. (I do know the answer.)

How about the dog? (I've forgot the dogs name.)

Remember the Buster Brown Show ? That was one of my Saturday morning favorites. Midnight the cat, and that bad mouse that I forget the name of. And the jungle boy with Tila the elephant. Now THAT was good television. :D

Every Saturday morning I would come downstairs and in the winter sit over the heat register on the floor with a blanket wrapped around me and watch my cartoons. My Mom would bring my breakfast that I would eat sitting there, and I wouldn't budge until like noon. Great memories.

I did the same thing! Like twin sons of different mothers! Did your mom make you sit at the table till your dinner was gone? I got very creative in disposing of peas...

most you fellas can't be much older then me (51 last saturday) as i remember the subs, plates, cups, glasses, license plates, green stamps and many other things, but i never liked cracker jacks.
