I lack enough patience to be anal with a project. Could I build a real show car? Yes.
Do I want to waste that much time? No.

I think that hits it on the head. I used to work in my dads resto shop. Talk about tedious work! I f I break down why a project doesn't turn out the way I wan't it to quality wise it all come down to "I should have spent more time to make it right". At least right in my eyes. [;)

That says it all for me too. I do have the ability to see great detail and I can work to that level. But I have way too many projects I still want to build after these 2.

That's why ratting is so attractive - all the fun, a lot less of the tedious. (and it's cheap)

I moved the body on my Olds 1-1/2" because the wheels looked off in the wells, but I kinda like that my tail lights don't match. I will have to polish my chrome as much as possible, but the pits and rust are fine.
