From what I hear, the parts for those discs are hard to find anymore, and expensive if you do.
That car was basically A Ford Granada fancied up. Didn't really go over very well. The front discs and spindles will fit Mustangs, Mavericks, and I think Falcons and Fairlanes. The rear is 9", I think you can adapt later model Explorer and Crown Vic discs to them pretty easily. They are also one of the narrowest 9"s made, around 57" or 58" IIRC. But that car has been screwed with! Looks like they added about 2 foot to it and put the side mounts on. UGLY!!!!
Did they make a two door Lincoln version? I don't remember one, do remember the two door Granada and Mercury Monarc, thought they looked pretty good.
What was the 57, 2 or 4 door? It also has a 9" rear.
I knew the Versailles was significant for some reason... and the diff width is the reason. [cl
The Lincoln Versailles "Grandeur" was an aftermarket turd, like the equally hideous Excaliber Cadillacs. (Pimp My Ride? No thanks!) Like Sam said, there was a coupe version of the Versailles, created by the same people...
hold your cookies...
A friend of mine (Dave) had a Mercury Monarch (Sport Coupe?) It had a 302 and 4-speed, bucket seats, console and gauges.... nice car, can't say I've seen another... Dave (or "Steve McQueen" as we called him then) could wring the last ounce out of that car and eventually wrapped it 'round a tree.
The '57 Ford caught my eye, [and it is a '57], quite possibly a Fairlane. Even the four doors looked pretty good.
Grab that car! Even if the Lincoln is in the package deal.
