Hey guys, I work in the nuclear power industry were we pay big bucks for THE BEST.(i.e. $500 toilet seats)
Last year we had a slew of counterfeit bolts get flaged by our QA guys.
They came out of CHINA
Very poor metal quality.
I work in the oil field,and we have had lifting chain, shackles and bolts all coming in from reputable suppliers, but originally sourced in China. Complete with the correct grade markings, SWL etc.
Guys, your suppliers need to buy from the correct place, or you are wasting your time even checking the bolt heads for three or six lines.
Some Chinese sources are good, and produce the genuine article. but you have no way of checking yourself.
