you need to find an airbrush guy to do it. have him make a stencil so the letters are consistant. this may sound funny but go to the opalocka flea market and check out the airbrush shops in there.

carter, I want the brush strokes in the finish. That's why I'm not going with the airbrushed letters. Actually, I'm thinking about doing it myself after some practice.

if you do it yourself write us up an article :D i want to do my own too but i'm not that artistic, i might be able to get my wife to do it though, shes pretty good at that stuff.

oh gastrick, seeing as how this is a family based forum i will not jump all over the possibilities of jokes that are left in the statement..lol..:D

nah, just giving you a hard time! that would be cool to do it on your own. just create the stencil and then all you really would need to get down are the highlights. best of luck to you, take PICTURES!

well im not positive but......i thought he was already locked up.......could be wrong

No, the case still hasn't been tried. In fact, he was just over here a few weeks ago visiting the guy next door. He is facing some trouble though, and also feels horrible about the incident. He has no drivers license at this point in time, as it has been pulled.

While I know he probably did wrong (he's innocent until proven guilty) I can also understand how he could have screwed up. I know there have been times when I shouldn't have been behind the wheel, and I bet most of us have done it at one time or another. The fact he is a celebrity makes people more prone to want him to burn. I feel sorry for the victim, and for Billy. But for the Grace of God, lots of us could be in his shoes. My neighbor tells me all the time what a great guy Billy is.

Didn't mean to hijack the door art thread, sorry.

It seems everyone is always looking for someone to do artwork on their rides, but can never find anyone that will do it by hand. When was the last time you visited a major truckstop? (Petro, T/A, Flying J, etc.). For the 33 years I drove an 18 wheeler, everytime I pulled into one there was an old dude in an old pick up that did graphics, lettering, and artwork. Either he was at the truckstop going around trying to drum up some work or he was located at a nearby CB shop. I've had artwork, pinstriping, and lettering done on my trucks. I usually had it done while I was laid over for the weekend. If you don't see one, ask at the truck repair shop, nearby CB shop, or truck wash. If all else fails, walk up to a trucker and ask him to get on his CB and ask about who's doing truck lettering in that area. He'll probably get a response from a nearby shop in about 30 seconds.

what about sign painters any in your area? Thats actually who did my flames on the henryj

So far no luck with them. That's what I wanted. All the ones I've talked to so far use vinyl and a computer now and they look at me like I have three heads when I tell them that I want vintage style lettering.

here`s the finished product , they look more patina`d in person , didn`t come out to well in the pics.
