This one was over Ipswich way. Yeah keen for greaze fest, I volunteered in an exhibition tent doing curatorial work hanging paintings and stuff but didn't hear back though.

Are you referring to the blue one, 2nd pic in the last set. That's an old Ford Falcon, XB hard top. Like what Mad Max drove in the movie, his was an XC with the square head lights. Same sort of thing right.

Thanks for the pics, nice to see what's going on down under. It's always interesting to see the Oz models of cars, sort of a blending of the body styles we are used to seeing here, like maverick said, lots of 4 doors too.

Ya that's the one. It's hard to tell from the angle but it looks like our Torino's here. I'm not a Ford expert but had a 71 with a 429 SCJ once. It was a block and a half long and wicked fast. Our Falcons here were a smaller car and I think they only built them through about 66 or 67....not sure, like I said I'm not a Ford expert. Come to think of it I'm not much of an expert on anything :D

Yeah the 2nd pic there, we didn't get that series in the 2 door, that was our 2nd gen falcons xr, xt, xw and xy, all 4 doors, the xy gtho was a great machine. I have seen imports of the 2 door model, they look good. the 1st pic is like our 3rd gen, very similar styling. I've owned both styles. And the pics attached- The 1st (stripped) is an xw, gen 2 falcon. The 2nd is my old 78 marque fairlane, which is the big version of the gen 3.

I'm not sure if you know this, but most of those cars, well, the wheel is on the wrong side...... [S

I wonder if that teardrop behind the orange flatbed is a TearJerker? TearJerkers.net has a chapter downunder. Also in England and several in Canada! I'm the Chapter Director of the "Mountaineers of west Virginia" chapter. we have 2 teardrops, a 4x8 homebuilt and a 1947 KenSkill. I have an article in Vintage Camping Trailers new magazine, Spare? I Don't Need a Spare, the name of the article in their second edition. and as I always say..Til Later by the Fire--John T.;)
