It was a little warm in the sun, low to mid 80s but the shady places were perfect. Winter isn't horrible here, maybe a month straight that I don't get the car out. Actually it's been driven less this summer than in the winter because those 90+ degree days are too hot.

Great photos! I sure do love Spearfish Canyon but until your pics it never occurred to me that the fall colors would be so great! I was out there this past spring on the bike before the tourists got thick. Early one morning I sped my way thru and only saw a dozen other vehicles. Pure Heaven! [dr Cruise on.

Cool photos ... cool settings ...maybe someday ..
Question which is better getting the car out in the spring & anticipating the fun driving ahead ..or driving the car in the fall ...great temps the explosion of colors & knowing winter :( is coming ??[S ..even if ya got the shop .

Ya think the fall colors will hang around for another couple weeks? That's when the family and I will be up your way.

Well it looks like the family and I will be in your area tomorrow. I'm not sure what we are gonna check out first yet.

A little philosophizing; some of us have tendencies to keep dragging home yet another project with real or imagined redeeming qualitys while the last 2-3 or more of them languish in various states of incompletion and lost interest. At one time I was leading that race. I finally forced myself to stay focused on this car. Now I can enjoy what cars are about, being driven.

Very well put and so very true. I've recently purged some projects and look forward to getting one I'm doing for someone else down the road to I can focus on the next one ~ mine.

On the other hand, some people like me derive more pleasure building hot rods than driving them. For others they simply enjoy owning a lot of raw material. If they have room for it and can afford it, what's the harm? Some people collect baseball cards and others collect vintage tin.
