electric wiper upgrade from hand operated??

i need electric wipers to pass inspection, the cab i have is as far as i can tell is a 1928 dodge and it had the little hand operated wiper in the windshield frame, my question is, has anyone built a electric setup for these old fold out windshield cab's??
would you put the wiper arm through the windshield frame so it piviots with the windshield or should it go through the cab above the windshield frame??

On my 'Eh' sedan I used the speedway set up and put it in the header above the windshield frame and it has enough pivot so you can still crank the windshield out fully.
