It's really sad about how many people are out to scam you! Hopefully you got away without any problems....I'm trying to sell my Corvette on CL...What a fiasco with some of the knobheads on there! "I want to buy your car, but I'm having trouble getting an insurance quote. Can you help me out by trying to get one for me from your local insurance companies?" WHAT??? I get at least 4 of these daily, always the exact same sentences, but with different names and emails. Or I will have my assistant pick up the car after I send you a bank check....I respond with...Have them stop at the bank and get cash on the way to pick up the car!!!![cl......Never hear from them again....CR

Seems like random thoughts, here goes.

I'm giving my original 1970 Triumph Bonneville to my son. It's not doing well up here in the sea air, and he is going to get it eventually. See picture. It has 13,890 original miles on it. Am I nutz?

A 29 Desoto does not fit totally well on a Toyota truck chassis.

My 19 pound Lhasa/pug mix dog chases four elk (probably 1800 pounds) off my lot every morning. They all seem to have fun.

I live next door to a pot farmer, a year now. Never met him.

Welding rust is a lot more fun than teaching people about 802.11 carrier protocol or any of that other stuff I used to do. But the other stuff paid more.

I live six miles from a casino.

I always hit "New Posts" when I get on - I saw this from Earthman and thought Oh crap - what did I do now - I had to go a few posts back to see the post about the sign - I didn't even think about it when I asked about the dart board. What a trip - that sign reminds me of The Fury Freak Brothers and Mr. Natural comic books. I will put this with my other treasures. Thank you Earthman

Do whatever you want with it...I was just expressing some frustration with the political system. You may remember the original poster that was made famous on the X-files. Fox Mulder believed aliens existed, but the government tried to cover it up. Many of the American people believe Obama to be either a saviour (change!), or a socialist...irony is that now it's the media either feeding that belief or trying to cover it up, rather than the government. You may notice the rendering of Obama in this picture portrays him in a socialist fashion; a belief many are striving to justify. Conversely, many are still holding onto the belief that he is who he campaigned to be. I guess it speaks to all Americans about our loss of trust and our never ending search for a political figure whom we can believe in and trust. The truth is out there.
