My Ex-GF used to say to me "Honey, do you realize you are swearing at an inanimate object?" when I would do something like that. She might have been right, but it made me feel soooooooooo good. :D:D:D

What makes you feel dumb though is when you throw a wrench and then have to get down on your hands and knees and go looking for it.:eek:

I think it is theraputical to break stuff once in a while.
I think the last time I did was about 4 years ago, complety destroyed a perfectly good chainsaw and it felt soooo good. Before that it was a lawn mower. I should have thrown it away but I kept dragging it back out and trying to fix it then there would be something else wrong. One day I decided it was time. I quietly walked to the shop and got the splitting maul and gave it my best shot, twice. It really freaked the kids out tho.

I know THAT feeling for sure:D:rolleyes:
With a bodyshop background i've discovered the fine art of bashing in an already ruined hood, fender, door or even bedside 3pound hammerworks for most situations, but if more therapy is still neccesary then the BIG HAMMER does the trick:eek:

For the most part I learned a long time ago to just step back BEFORE I get to the "throwing things in the shop" mode. When I used to smoke, I would just get away from it, go have a smoke and when you come back everything will slide together. Fits of anger in the garage are always couterproductive.

When I worked as a mechanic, Lost my temper, tossed the 7/8 end wrench at the wall. It came back like a boom-a-rang, not satisfied I picked it up and spiked it.

exception to the rule

Being a lightweight, I find that occasionally anger supplies the adrenaline required to "muscle up" and break a bolt loose or get something into place, etc.

On the other hand, I have a long list of destruction that cost me money or hurt for a long time, or both.

Not me guys ,i'll curse like a sailer[i was one so i ,i'm hip to it]but no tantrums . My step dad is terable for it and i learned early on how dumb it is to lose it and destroy stuff .seen him take apart a lawn mower with a claw hammer when i was little ,and even at that young age i thought it was stupid of him .I think i'm a better person for learning how to controll my temper [or at least i think i can do better because of it .
My brother in law is about as bad as ive worked with over his temper,it beats all i ever seen ???? It must have started when he was young i guess?

Tripper ,I have to wander if you will think twiced before kicking some thing else?????[not trying to be smart, just wandering??]
