If you are only planning to use them on one or two projects, they should be fine. If you are planning on making use of them all the time, it might be more "Cost Effective" for you to spend a little more money and buy a more name brand tool.
In my opinion those cheap ones are no good.I ruined more line with those then I want tell about. If you want the lines done right the first time use the Hydraulic one.Its a few bucks,But its your life and I think its a few good bucks spent and you will never have to buy another one.Plus its a perfect line everytime the "first time".This is the one that I use.Not to mention it will do all of the popular flares.
sweet, thanks for the links. i'm going to be doing this soon too, my brake lines fell apart as soon as i started taking things apart. I noticed this one is as much as some of the non-hydraulic sets as well at $250-$300. So it's not too bad if it works that well.
The Master Cool one is the one that I use.I have sold them in the past with no problems.Very happy customers in the end. After using it they chucked the 16.00 dollar one.
I use the same one that 35Mastr posted. It seems expensive, but if you get the chance to use one, you'll never want to flare hard lines any other way. You can even get 37 degree dies to flare the lines for your AN fittings too.
