So, how long do the medications stay in the meat? Would a chemical analysis of a chunk of steak at the market or a piece of chicken at the Colonel's have indications of these chemicals?
I have no idea; that's why I'm asking.
Considering all the medications I've taken and been given in my lifetime I'd bet a cannibal would still find me delicious.

Bob, I really don't know and it would depend on who you ask. I'm sure the manufacturers will say there is no residual and opponents would say there's plenty. Even an analytical study could be slanted by the interests of those doing it. Some of the stuff may not be harmful at all. What I do know is that a lot of the time we have been using something for a long time before anyone realizes it is dangerous, DDT would be a good example. We saw the last Magpies in this area decades ago due to the Warbex pesticide used on livestock. When I was a kid they controlled coyotes with cyanide and strychnine. Both of which went right into the food chain and poisoned other animals including the raptors. With the past track record of the chemical companies and the people in leadership we are supposed to trust, well I've decided that extreme caution and maybe a little paranoia is the best approach when making the choice about what's going into my body.

In Chad, located in Africa, where vaccinations are uncommon and farming practices are devoid of chemical enhancements, 131 out of 1000 babies die in the first year.
The life expectancy is 49 years.
Yes, there are many other factors contributing to these horrible statistics such as constant tribal wars, over population, etc.
Some scientists believe the elimination of DDT from Africa has resulted in the deaths of millions because disease carrying insects cannot be controlled.
These numbers are replicated throughout most undeveloped countries.
For all the criticism, and some of it is justified, the way we do things here has improved our quality of life and longevity. However, as the Dos Equos guy says, "Choose wisely, my friend".

I bet if you asked, every critter in that lot had Ral-gro or a similar hormone. It's usually a one time treatment, like a small pellet under the skin in their ear. It means 20% more growth and sadly any feedlot would go broke if they didn't use it.

Guess I won't be eating any beef in your area. But personally, I know exactly what was in the beef that I was raising, and there were NO hormone shots or anything. They received no shots of any kind unless they were sick. The only thing we even had at the farm to give them was penicillin. Period. End of sentence. Nothing more.

I have studied, read, asked questions and know exactly of what I speak.

Not to be an a$$ but good for you. And I believe that what you read is true, To an extent. All I am saying is that this does not go on in every feed lot through out the world. Not everyone out there is eating tainted beef day in and day out. You read it, I worked it, first hand.

#2 Red dyed off road diesel, watched him pump it myself.

Umm WOW!!! That is one of the dumbest things I have heard of....... Hope he gets caught....

This particular dairy farm was kept extremely clean...don't know about the others but I'll bet most of them are because of the constant checks by government officials.

The farm I worked on was a Grade A producer that sold to Smith Dairy. They inspected for cleanliness and methods at least twice a month by a government official. If you did not pass the inspection they would be back in less than a week to make sure you made the changes they wanted to see, otherwise you weren't selling any milk. The milk was also tested twice daily by us and every other day by the milk truck driver for CHEMICALS, MEDICATIONS, QUALITY, AND ANYTHING ELSE THAT WOULD MAKE IT UNSUITABLE FOR THEM TO SELL

Pardon my harsh text/tones but this is one topic that really burns me.

I'm no farmer or rancher but I have read into this a bit and I have an opinion (and that's all I have)
I see movies, books, spokesman all talking about how crap our food is.
I agree with the sentiment that just cause 1 place is doing it, everyone is doing it. That's like saying because the state patrol pulled over 1 speeder, everyone must be speeders.

I also agree that there are all these chemicals being stuffed into our food, but not all food.

America is fat because we choose to be. We all now live lives of laziness due to the technologies that we all enjoy (and your all reading off a piece of that technology as you read this!)

I feel (again, just my opinion, not saying its right or wrong) that everyone CHOOSES to eat what they want. If you want to eat a crap burger from the chain places, your gomna do it and I'm just as guilty as the next guy.

Fact is, we don't have the time, or want to take the extra time, to go out of our way to the healthy alternatives. We live in "the now"

"back in the day" when everyone made an honest living WORKING, people were generally healtyier. Despite if there is or isn't chemicals in our foods.

We all can't listen to all the media and assume its all correct. If we did, the world would end tomorrow.

I also feel that the cancer rates and other deadly illness rate has risen because of population growth. Overall, people hump like rabbits, pump out babies and go about life. Of course there is going to be more illness.

Like I said above, this is just my opinion, and it's only based on very slight education, which might not even be the right education.
