Having trouble with overheating & pressure in my 292 ford engine it has a new radiator & thermostat, replaced headgasket on passenger side, does anyone have any ideas thanks.

What do you mean by pressure? In the radiator? Sure you got the head gasket sealed? Did you change the gasket yourself? The gasket will fit either way, but it must be oriented the correct direction or the water passage will be blocked. It will have a square corner sticking out the front. Also, were the headbolts re-installed in the correct places? They are different lengths.

Try this page: http://www.ford-y-block.com/assemblyerrors.htm

Are you getting good oil circulation? The Y-block is notorious for oiling problems, which will in turn cause heat problems.

Thats what I was thinking too. Head gasket. Either not installed right and causing low or blocked water flow, or it didnt seal right so your getting combustion into your water system.
