heres one the 1966 BRM (British Racing Motors) 3L H16 engine
it used 2 stacked opposing 8 cylinder engines to make one neat combo

1939 Junkers Jumo 223 48 piston 24 cylinder 2 stroke diesel. It's supposed to have made well over 2000hp. Google "Junkers Jumo 223" and there is more information and some photos too.

Did a bit of reading - apparently the real success of that style came with the Royal Navy's use of the NapierDeltic 3 sided design used in torpedo boats and some trains in the 50's. Cool stuff.

Chrysler 'Multi Bank Tank Engine' built from 5, 6 cyl flat head production engines. A 1940s war effort that was used in Sherman tanks. 7500 were produced, not many survived.

Like to see that black roadster up close HBS. I like how after all the modifications it still has the look of a classic touring car.

I found pics on a forum from the UK. http://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/ Some cool stuff on there ,, different ideas. I liked the fact they kept the radiator and hood on it,, makes you still see the the original body,,, and the black just makes it too !!! Dig the trunk !
 
that is one heavy-built hauler.....

scratch built frame, a diesel engine, and an IH Loadstar cab --who woulda thought that combination would be so cool...[S:D:cool:
 
wow thats pretty awesome mine would look tiny next to it, i had thought about going that direction with my build initially.. i had a 50's ad 2 ton lined up to be the donor.. but decided id rather the fenderless 36
