front spring

My frame is custom 2x4 tube ,25" wide in front . What size spring should I use? 29",31 1/4" ? Im using my stock 34 chevy p/u axle .Plan on spring behind with hairpin radius rods .

Spring length is determined by how far apart the spring perches are. Posies and Speedway are a good source for info on set up and springs themselves.

I'm doing the same thing with my '42 Chevy truck axle and I had to get a 26" T bucket spring for the tires to clear at full lock. But your mileage may vary. You pretty much need to have everything mocked up on the axle then measure for the spring.
