Hello everyone,
I have a 57 International that I am playing with. The gas draw tube rusted at the top and had broken off. I can't figure out how to put a new tube in the bracket with the same fitting. Does anyone run a draw tube like this? I know that Ford and International used a lot of the same parts. If anyone knows if I can just buy a replacement or the best option. It looks easy to just put a new tube and fitting on, but it is escaping me on how to do it with that bracket. Thanks!

What type of lines are being used these days? Does anyone use the braided lines or the flex lines? I think I am going to redo the entire fuel lines system since I have it torn apart.

Jason

I have been looking online and I am seeing some coiils of fuel line:
1/2" outside diameter
Legal in all classes
Thin-wall seamless tubing flows more fuel
Replaces small diameter fuel lines
Sold in a 25' coil

I decided that I am going to redo all of the lines for safety sakes. Now I just have to figure out how to do those flairs!

take a drill the size of the line drill the line out of the bracket, pull it out, go to the parts store, get a line that size. It is either 5/16 or 3/8, clean the bracket well. Bend the line in an "L" braze or solder it in the bracket, cut the line at a slight angle 1/2 inch shorter than the depth of the tank. That should work....Terry

I can't see the problem with those pics, but if it wasn't too bad
I would JB weld it, or epoxy it!! Like I said I can't tell how bad it is!!

The fitting turned out to be a press on fitting, I twisted it and pulled it off out of the bracket, bent a new line and pressed it back on. I put a little JB on it for good luck and stuck it back in. Problem solved, thanks for the help!
