Ok Mopar gurus,
I have a 66 Valiant Convertible I've had since 68 and a 66 Cuda I got for the right quarter panel. Now here's the question. Would it be a complete pain in the buttocks to try and do one of these as a gasser? I am sure its been done but seems a unibody car would not be easy. I also have a 66 A100 van I could get the front axle from. Whadda think??

Seems like a sub-frame set up would work okay. Especially if you are not going to try to keep it low....a gasser style sounds cool to me.

I just saw a magizine project do this. I think it was the Mopar Muscle or Car Craft. I'll try to find it. So it can be done with a unibody. Got to use the seats out of the van too.

Naw too much work throw those old Mopars out, heck I'll even haul em away for ya just let me know what time to come pick them up tommorrow....lol

Unibody gassers are nothing new, just connect the subframes together and your good to go. The ragtop should already have reinforcement to the understructure
but the hardtop would be a better choice for this and a couple chunks of 2x3 tubing is all you need to tie the subframes together on those little a bodies

Hot Rod Delux does a altered gasser in the first (only?) issue. They just ran sub-frame connectors to strenghten the frame.
