Waiting for the engine block to come back from the machine shop, decided to put the front end together for another photo op. Also made a couple mounts for the front nerf bars, I think they may be Ford bumperettes?
Now with the fenders on, you can see how deleting the running boards makes the body slimmer, more Willys-ish. When I tell people I'm building a Packard Gasser, they mentally picture a big car, which the Senior Packards are, but the 115 Coupe wheelbase is only 2 3/4" longer than a 37 Chevy.

Got the engine assembled and painted.

Scat forged stroker crank
Manley H beam rods
Wiseco forged flat top pistons
Comp BMT roller cam and lifters
Square port open chamber aluminum heads
Stainless roller rockers
BDS 871 manifold
Aluminum water pump.
Almost time to go south for the winter, so it will get put in in the spring. I've got some paint issues on the body to work on before then, not happy with how the clear coat looks, likely needs a re-spray. More time and materials, but what else is new....
