Generator fan

I am going to be running a 12 volt late 50's era Cadillac generator on my desoto hemi. I like the nostalgic look of a generator and can't afford a powergen.
I found a nice rebuilt generator with a single pulley but I will need a double groove pulley for it. Also, the generator doesn't have a fan by the pulley. Does it need one?
Looking around at all the old alternators that I can steal parts from, none of them has a fan.

I like the looks of a generator too. I would think you don't need a fan on your generator, because either the big fan will provide enough airflow or the lack of fenders and side curtains will bring in enough air circulation.

The generator is what will tighten the belts. I'm running 2 belts.
