I visit a lot of forums, some come and some go but this is always the first place I check in when I sit down at the 'puter.

Anymore, I barely have time check all the posts that interest me on RRR. Seems like there are always 2-4 new posts to keep up on every day. The way this site has grown, the Trippers must be be rich just from owning all that prime real-estate. Hold on ....does the internet work that way?

I've noticed Gastrick hasn't been on much as of late. Hope things are going well enough for him and his Dad. Same with you HRP, hope things are working out for you.

This isn't to bash another forum but rather to praise this one for being made up of genuinely nice, caring people, a real rarity today it seems.

I just saw a thread on another forum where a member there couldn't understand why people post things like " We just had a baby" and other non-car related subjects. He felt they had no place on a car forum. He even went on to describe himself as an ***hole for feeling that way, and that didn't seem to bother him.

What insensitive jerks like him don't get is that a forum is a bunch of friends getting together and friends have good times, bad times, births, deaths, lose jobs, want to vent, etc. and we share those events with our friends. Whenever I have had some loss in my life, like losing a loved pet, I feel very comfortable coming on here and pouring my heart out. Same goes when I see another member hurting over some issue in his or her life, I hurt right along with them.

So, I know it has been said a million times, but this place is really special because of the membership and administration. Some forums feel a little "cold" somehow, but this one never has. Thanks guys.

nobody ever gives me **** for asking basic questions or having stupid ideas.
and i like being able to tease guys without worrying about them getting all bent out of shape.
i belong to a few forums.
but this is the best one.

i only have one thing to add.


isn't it great having access to all these machinists ,mechanics and various brainiacs here?

This place is pretty cool for sure....I dont have any rat rod buddies in my neck of the woods...dont really want them either...been a loner my whole life...had drinkin buddies when I was drinkin but thats about it...I come on here to see what is up with the sport we call rat rodding...I have my garage and I hang out there alone everynight.....I come on here when the garage is closed for the night...decent bunch of people from what I can see and hear.

I visit this site first,every day, really do like the atmosphere alot..I have another that I visit daily,very similiar attitude as RRR,bunch a guys that was on an antique tractor forum, got tired of mods micro managing and jerks in general and started their own forum..Its kinda funny actually, we all met on a tractor forum, but a lot of the guys if they have an actual tractor question, they will title is as an OT post Its a lot like pulling up a bucket by the woodstove and visiting with a friend..I drove 6 hours to meet some of them at a tractor show a couple years ago..

Same here, we have a small bunch of guys and we talk about anything but a lot on old trucks, tractors ect. We all drifted away from a Ford forum that just got too big and taken over by kids, and an Adm with no huevos that let too much stuff get out of hand, funny thing was that whole forum started as renegades from the big Ford Truck forum. I also used to check in every day on another specific Ford forum with a lot of good info but 2 resident know-it-alls would body slam anyone else who tried to help out on questions. I knocked the dust from my boots on that one too.
