Ok the family and I are heading to a car show/swap meet in Murfreesboro TN Jan 5,6. We're heading down a few days early to make a mini vacation out of it. Anybody have any suggestions for stops that a family of gear heads would like? My boys are 11 and 3 but are into cars a lot more then most kids their age.

We plan on checking some of the civil war stuff out but would also like to find some automobile museums if possible.

I am also looking for some old tin to pick up if anyone has any cheap :D

The Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. It's right on I 65. They have one of every Corvette ever built. I hope to make it up there one day, hopefully in my Vette.

I didn't think they allowed kids? Or maybe that's the plant tour.

We have tried to make it a few times. Hopefully it makes the agenda.

The museum allows kids, they also have the only 83 Corvette in existince. Opry Mills in Nashville, Jack Daniels Distillery, if you pass by Bardstown,KY there is the Jim Beam Distillery.

We are heading to Murfreesboro TN so the muscle car museum is a little to far away. It's 3.5 hours east.

Thanks for the input guys.

The corvette museum is in the agenda for sure!

Anybody been to the motorama event in murfreesboro?

Suppose to have a swap meet and show. I'm hoping to find some old tin for a project.

The Muscle car museum in Sevierville is good , but would be a bit of a side trip. You could always visit the mountains and Gatlinburg while your there.
