My daughter is having trouble with her 2000 Chevy 1/2 ton V6.
The simple problem. E brake is bad and won't pass inspection. These trucks are notorious for wearing out the ebake pads. (drum in rotor setup) It needs new pads and rotors.
Fuel pump is going out. Needs to be replaced along with new fuel filter. There are two different pumps so you have to pull the tank ( got to do that anyway) and get a code off the evap sensor.
She took it to a mechanic and they want $1200 to do the repairs. I priced all the parts (Expensive parts not cheap ones) for around $400. I don't want something for nothing but $800 for labor?
I will pay someone cash to fix it. I'd do it my self but I'm in Houston and can't get there to do it. She lives in Addison off of Belt line.
