funny story about that tool, I drove two hours for some rallies that were 5 on 4 3/4 that when I got there had transformed into 5 on 5. he said no, and dropped 5 1/6 bolts through the holes of the guide into the holes in the wheel. see? 5 on 4 3/4! I got my 5 on 4 3/4 spacer I keep in the truck as a cupholder and showed him it didnt fit the wheel, he was still arguing with me all the way back to the truck whereupon I drove 2 hours home.

I have seen a lot of people make that mistake with the tape, measuring center to center instead of center to edge.

time to say I was wrong. my problem was cheep lug nuts. when the shell fell off I had to use a 18 mm socket to get them off. live and learn.
