Greetings peabody! Looks like a great start. Don't know what part of the 'zarks you're in but I am about 50 miles north of St. Lou in Il. and I have a 6 ft. IH bed and fenders left from my 49 KB-1. Started with 2 beds, 6 ft IH and a 7 1/2 ft Knox. Used the Knox but still have the other, if you are close enough and are interested let me know.[;)
...
of course I'm interested !!
lets take a look see .. [cl
thanks!

found a late 60s early 70s Reefer fuel tank ...
make a great gas tank :D
also a 34 farmall steering wheel.
and dugg up my old union Pacific EDM train horns...
a peterbilt air tank.
starting to come together .
shop is going to send me pictures as we go.. I'll post em up.
in the meantime .. I'll keep pushing this old diesel and try to get it all paid for !

When I get a chance I'll send you all I have of that truck.

Yeah, the yellow truck is more correct body-wise, but not completely correct. The IH beds usually had horizontal ribs in the box sides and 2 supports under the bed rail, at least the Canadian ones did, like these trucks:

I like the cab-length boards on the IH's as it makes them unique. Hope that helps.

yes it helps . thanks.
absolutely beautiful trucks.

let me try again.....
anyhoo can't seem to be able to load the pictures off my text ?
they have the truck cab and doors and fenders off ..
and getting it sandblasted next week [dr

Are you having someone build it or building it yourself?

having it built . sadly i have no skills like most of the super talented folks on this site.
but i am a professional steering wheel holder .
:D
i haul liquid chemicals coast to coast in a peterbilt ..
tanker yanker.
... sadly I'm hardly ever home.
Beaumont texas now. headed for yuma Arizona.
but ? I'm not planning on pushing this old diesel forever.
someday I'll get to go home. raise my cows.and cruise around in a 47 international.. and a 64 Dodge sweptline shortbed:D
i totally envy you guys that have a life. and shop skills.
but I'm learning a few things from this board.
although i started my hot rod obsession fifty years late.
my ma and pa actually told me last night that they think me having
a hot rod pickup is "cool"
my girlfriend thinks I'm nuts.

Skills can be learnt at any age, all you need is ambition and the desire to learn! I was lucky enough to grow up in the garage working on cars, but I learn something new all the time. Having and maintaining a hot rod will teach you a lot, even if you didn't build it yourself. You learn way more building one though.

I'm not knocking having it built at all, whatever it takes.

hey thanks .. no way i could build one at this time. I'm only home about 4 days a month if that .finally gotten everything paid for.
and now i can afford to have one built.
someday I'll build one. but gotta get off this truck first.
