I'm new here and really like this site, thought I"d share this. My truck caught fire when I started it one morning, fuel line, they go real quick and they don't make a fire extinguisher big enuff for a gas fire, So that after noon i'm looking over the new Rebel Rodz, just leafing thru seeing if there's anything exciting in this issue, I get to the readers rides section, checking out the cars and ladies and.......wholly crap.. theres my truck. Was kinda cool seeing it in a mag. Now I can build it cooler I hope. Thx , all have a great holiday

Awesomethat it made it into the mag!

I saw the aftermath pic in the other thread. That whole thing is just sickening. Glad to here you moving on with it. How about a better pic of your avatar? Sorry if I'm a morbid rubbernecker.

Is the body scrap now or what? Seems a shame to let that body go - around Iowa those early 60's Chevys didn't hold up to the salt too well. Like everything else here, so I have a hard time seeing anything without fist sized holes get discarded.

When I first saw that aftermath photo, I instantly thought all it needs is a flame paint job and the body's ready to go.

thx sam, put it up on craigs list and a guy in phoenix bought the body and bed, got $80 for it,lol, sold all the parts I wasn't using , paid 4 what I bought it back from insurance co. 4, was insured through Grundy and no problems at all, great service from them.... check my HAMB site 4 better pix

Congrats. Too bad about your truck fire though. Looks like you have a good attitude and are ready to build again.

Good to know that you didn't have a problem with Grundy. That's who I use too but I've never made a claim.

Ouch...

The agony and the ecstasy.
Glad the truck made the mag before the meltdown..
But, you have a great new build going now, so.... '22
