I couldn't find a thread for them and figured we could use one!
I plan on building a 49 Plymouth eventually and actually racing it in a few autocross races. Maybe some pics can give me some inspiration!

Not sure what happened to it...... the guy was selling out and moving and drug it out into his yard. He was undecided about selling it because it had belonged to his Dad who raced it in the '60s. It sat there a couple weeks and then disappeared about the time he moved. Hopefully someone saved it or he took it with him.

Here are a couple pictures cars my dad drove for owner Don Grant. I had a lot more of cars he owned/drove and others that he just drove in a couple of old photo albums but gave them to him a few years ago.

from 1968 or 69, my dad is on the left and Don Grant the owner is on the right.

The ones below are all owned by a guy in Joplin, MO who is gathering up all the old dirt track cars he can find in the area. He also owns my dad's old gasser that I included as well, but has not found one of his old dirt cars yet. Chuck's family owns a salvage yard and wrecker service in the area so he has access to parts and is often called to haul off "old junk".

Sandy's Speedway

This track was across the road from me when I was a kid. My mom ran the concession stand for a while. Photo was taken in 1967 and the track closed down a couple of years later after the owner was killed in an accident.
