How's my stance look?

I think I've decided on the location of everything. How does everything look in regards to engine/trans to firewall, ride height, wheel placement, etc?

I just wanted to get some general opinions before I finalize the cab mounts, crossmembers, and motor mounts.

Yeah, that rear winder is full sized. I wound up making like six pieces of the roof when I gave 'er the ole chop.

Check the link in my sig for the build. Lot's more stuff in there.

Looks great like it is .......but.... I hate to tell you you're missing one major design element that will affect the entire balance - the radiator shell. Unless you put it in the back of course. If you don't have a grille or radiator, slap a cardboard box of approx size on there and see how it looks.

front

unless something is in the way, l'd drop the nose 'bout 2'' :D

having the bed and grille shell can change the looks drastically. think about the truck as a whole.

l was gonna lower the front on mine before l put on the sheet-metal. l am glad l waited because it would have layed the front bumper on the ground. front tires wouldn't' have even been able to move, l couldn't have driven it that way.

Later:cool:

I have the bed but, it's in "winter storage" (aka: behind my house under a tarp).

The grill shell is either going to be the radiator in front with that case tractor grill spilt and widend around it, or nothing. I really like the wide open front look and may stick the radiator in the back and not have a grill at all...

Hi Everyone...

I agree with what Sam_Fear says...the cab and stuff look great but if you get the grill in place it may look like really funny for sure. The radiator and grill may make it look like it is very nose heavy for sure. If it is hangin too far out it will throw the whole build off. Remember this whole sport/hobby is about the "look".
Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for all your input guys. Like I said, I'm not planning on a grill shell or front mount radiator. Radiator's gonna be in the bed and the front will only be getting headlghts added. I really dig the wide open look since I've been looking at it for so long. It's grown on me.

Just wondering about the suspension design... stance is one thing but if the suspension isn't built around a sound design it won't drive or handle right.

I'm not saying you didn't do your homework but you can't really see what you did...

The suspension is good. The front clip I didn't build, it's a takeoff from a wrecked dirt track car. That was a big point because I didn't have to work out much geometry on the setup. I mean, I even gotthe right ravk and pinion to make sure the bumpsteer is right. I'm still looking for the coilovers. The rear is a pretty straightforward four-link with a panhard. I'm not done back there yet.

There's a race car shop right down the road and the owner has been making sure my setup will work. He's also been helping me big time on used parts.

Radiator in the back! [cl

I would have chopped it more....
Case grill with short side panels back to the shock mounts, big air scoop to the top of the windshield will fill in the engine area. t-bucket bed sides to hide the rear frame rails and gas tank. LOOOOOOVE those tires.......

I like it a Lot....that being said, what's your plan for gas tank, battery and radiator location. Also, that picture made me think that a bobber truck could look cool with some big digger tires. Thanks for the ideas
