Someone might know a site to figure out what the rear end tag says on a Ford 9 inch..? I tried several site but couldnt find what I was looking for..UNLESS someone here knows what it all means

First line WOW CJ 8 C
Second line 2 75 9 356

i dont konw what it all means, but the last four of the second line are:

9 inch rear
3:56 gears

I read that as a 2.75:1 ratio? (first #'s second line) Possibly 1968? - '8 C'

These sites may help you figure it out. I gotta wonder if you need to recheck the tag? But then Ford likes to be a real pain when it comes to part #'s! Check the first site as it gives hints about the different cases too. Good luck - you'll probably need it!
