Friday while we at the shop I was getting some stuff off of a shelf and an alternator that was on one shelf about 3 foot high fell off and right onto the top of my left foot ! I literally thought it had broken my foot, and by the time I got my sock off there was an egg the size of a baseball on the top of my foot.

We didn't have any ice in the shop so Dan got a cold can of beer out of the fridge and we put that on the swelling. :D He then called my exwife, who is a Nurse and she came over with one of those frozen ice pack thingies and some Ibuprofin. Of course, they were both pushing me to go to the hospital, but I told them I would wait it out, and surprisingly it isn't sore at all. I mean, like no pain whatsoever, but my toes are a lovely shade of black......satin black mixed with some blue. :(

So, I guess tennis shoes are not the hot setup for working around stuff that can fall on you, but I just hate wearing work boots in this heat.

Now that you mention it, she did stomp on it a couple of times, but she said that was how they examine them !!!!!!!! :D

As far as any "benefits", I didn't even have those when we were married !:D

Your RT is a bit slow, 3ft gives you just under 1/2 second to move your foot...

Better practice the tree some more...

Anyhow, sorry to hear about your foot, hope you find some relief from the pain!

Yeah, it dropped like a bomb on me and I had both hands full of wishbones at the time so I couldn't even grab it. I am so amazed there is no pain in my foot at all, I mean like it never happened, and if you saw my foot it looks like I should be on crutches.

On top of it all I have a tooth that is starting to give me some pain, so I have to make an appointment this week to take care of that. Maybe I'll just jump off a bridge now, while parts of me are still working. :D

Don't go flinging yourself off a bridge, we need you 'round here!

Dirtyrat has the cure.

Tried and true recovery program:

- Park a chair next to the fridge
- Elevate injured limb
- Set practice tree for .400 pro light
- Drink contents of fridge and go "racing".

This does nothing for your foot (or your liver), but in a week or two you'll be quick as a cat and cutting .010 lights with one eye closed.

It works in Canada and Minnesota, your results may vary. :D

Arrrrgggg ! I just got home from the dentist's office, my toothache is going to end up costing me about $ 2500 by the time it is over......root canal, crown, etc, etc. :( Sure would rather be spending that money on hot rod parts.

Life has a way of biting you in the butt when you least expect it, or when you really don't need it at that particular time. :( At least they gave me some good drugs, so I will be going to bed here real quick. Over the weekend I probably got a total of 3 hours sleep because my tooth was killing me.
