Up here in the north west corner of IL, I have used my snow blower 3 times so far this year (we have averaged 5-6 times for probably the last 4 or 5 years). The 1st time was for about 4" of wet heavy stuff. The last couple times were for about an inch of fluffy white stuff. My driveway is 88' long and 19' wide, and I have almost 100' of sidewalk to clear, and a 10' x 10' area that is a shove only area. Its a lot easier on my back to follow that self powered snow blower around then scooping it all with a shovel.
My wife has a cousin that lives not far from us. They have purchased property in southern Arkansas as a near future retirement location, so they could get away from this "snow crap" as they call it. For the last 2 winters, the place in Arkansas has gotten more snow then we have.
Mind you, I don't bug them about that very much... Well, OK maybe I do.... HA! HA! How is that place in Arkansas working out for you? HA! HA!
