Since you posted the I have looked all over to see if any still exist. I can't even find a recent picture of one, all of the pictures seem to be from the 30 and 40's and then just nothing. Almost seems like everyone of them got scrapped for the war.
Very neat tanker and way ahead of its time. Curved glass full cutout wheel openings low profile.
Also check out the REO speed tanker. Very neat tanker also.
Very cool!!
I saw an old picture once showing a row of Texaco Airflow trucks. I have heard only a couple examples are known to exist. This one seems like it might have been a concept truck so maybe only one was ever built.
I found these pics by chance, I was look for some pics of the was ration mod cars for CC and found this DT. I have spent about 2 hours the last couple days looking for anything more but I can't find anything else. It would be cool if someone still had one, but I do agree they all probly went to scrap during the war I would imagin thet were not cheap to build and the concept more than likely go forgot after the war, thats really to bad because it could of stopped the ugly box rv's of the 60's and 70's I would die if I had one for an rv/party bus[ddd
Yea Isearched that, also Heil Texico and some other key words but all have about the same. The only new thing I ran across is something about at lest 6 were made.
WB3 There is a Texaco tanker like the one you posted a pis of in the Henry Ford Museum. They are real hard to find but they are out there.
