Yep... I'm finally back from a whirlwind tour of Italy! Karrazy over there. Little small diesel cars are the norm. Hardly *any* engine mods are allowed... the old Tripper can't *even* go there. They even have 50cc cars! Damn... no way!!! Anyway... we got in last nite & I'll post some pictures later today. Sorta jet lagged but I have plenty of coffee on hand!!! Here's a picture of an Italian car wash. The car stays put & the car washer moves over the car! The car being washed is a really kool Mercedes A class... the diesel version gets 75 mpg... Karazzzzy!!! GLAD to be back in da States!!! :D:D:D

Welcome back, we tried to be good while you where gone, sorry we broke the stock market. I am sure that you will be able to fix it now that you are back.

Welcome back Tripper....HMMM sounds like a good title for a TV show. Tripper tries to get control of a bunch of gear heads with arrested development...I'll talk to my people.

Drew Cary can play Tripper, Bonehead could be played by Larry the Cableguy. Don, Jim Balushi, well you see where we're going with this. Any suggestions?

Hope you had a great time, Tripper.
I guess the most important question I have is how many
of those tiny little Italian cars did you bring back in your lugage ? ;) '22

welcome back

Welcome back Tripper! Did you see any Fiat 500's over there? In particular, a Fiat 500 Abarth? Those were the hot rod version. Little old rear-engined car, and yes, the engine was like 499 cc.

22... if I could've stuffed one of those lil Merc's in my luggage I dang sure would have! My bag was too small cause I travel *very* lite!

Yep... I saw several 500's. One was all decked out with mages that had a Ferrari horse in the center of the mag caps. Gave me a pretty big chuckle! I was pretty surprised but they really don't have many old cars on the road but they have a retro 500.

Thanks guys... glad to be back to the world of excessive HP!!! :D:D:D

Benvenuto casa, amico mio!! :D:D Glad to see you had a nice and a safe trip. How were the food and the wine? I bet fantastico.

(by the way, not to throw anybody under the bus, but Gastrick was playing around with your pulverizer while you were away!):rolleyes::D

Don

Welcome home.
I know what you mean when you say "Glad to be home".
I went to Italy for 2 weeks a little over a year ago.
Nice place, the colloseam is cool, liked the coffee, and it was very good to be home.

Don,
The wine was excellent but I was not all that impressed with the food. I was just about to send those fingerprints out for processing... thanks for savin' me the time & trouble!!!

That's surprising about the food. I always try to sample the local stuff whenever I've gone somewhere, and I would have thought real Italian food would have been to die for. Years ago I worked for an all Italian company, I was the only non-Sicilian in the place. Lunchtime every day was a feast, and I saw and tasted foods I had never seen and that were the best. These were mostly first generation Italians, and man, could they cook.

I would have thought you gained 30 pounds over there. :D:D

Good Lawd, I am off of RRR for a while to re-coup from an accident and get back on to find out Tripper went to Italy and well, kids will be kids...."he did it....no he did...." LMAO! :D I can just hear it now with Don holding his finger 1/2 inch from Gastrick's face smiling from ear to ear and saying..."I'm not touching you!!!" LMAO! I do that to my kids now just to pi** them off! :p I am surprised to hear the food wasn't all that good Tripper, my Mom went to Italy not too long ago and said all of it was wonderful!

Yeah, it was really kind of weird. I found the Italians to be kind of rude and just want the money.

I got a gote trim. Not a shave, not a haircut, just a little fuz on my chin. I asked how much he said 15 euros. I sat down and got one heck of a trim. Very nice I must say. I went to pay him 18 eruos and he said "No, 50 euros"

My wife and I sat down at that famous coffee shop in San Marcos square in Venice. 2 cups of coffee (one each) - $27.00

I had 2 good meals when we were there. One was brick oven pizza and the other was Meatloaf. Thats right, meatloaf. Absolutly the best meatloaf I have ever had the pleasure of eating.

My wife loved the whole thing. She loves anything Italian. When I told her I wanted to buy, with money I didnt have, an old rusty car that I would have to put lots of time in and spend more money on but it was Italian can I have it? :D Guess what she said?

My mama didnt raise no fool.

Tripper, where did you go and what did you like the best?
Did you see the Colusiem?
