The pizza part surprises me too because my understanding was that pizza is sort of an American thing versus a true Italian thing. The people I worked with told me pizza in Italy was something they whipped up before payday when money was short, as opposed to being a true part of Italian cuisine. Maybe things have changed because that was told to me about 35 years ago.

One of our travlelin' companions is Italian & his family has a cookbook titled "Real Italians Don't Eat Pizza". I found this was *not* true!

Welcome back, Kotter, er, I mean Tripper. You took the trip I am longing to take. Gotta recover from visiting VERY expensive Norway a year ago. Here's an electric car (almost a car) we saw in Norway. A U.S. cop has more barrery power in his Maglight than this thing has. I remember having pizza in 1956. I thought is was so awful that I said it will never catch on.
