I'm 54yo, and my nick name is Mook or Mick....your choice. I've been into bikes all my life but have always loved rods, but just couldn't afford one. My wife knew I wanted to build one so she looked for a project for us. We found a 1930 International PU. We have it up on jacks. I've put in some safety stuff and am doing some minor mods.

The power plant is a 283 small block with a 2 BLL Rochester. I put in an electric fan because of my grand kids. I fabed up some new exhaust . I have welded the tailgate cracks and pulled up the cold chiseled stake holes in the truck bed and welded them. I'm putting in a new EZ wiring harness(not so easy). I've also added a wiper, signals, and a Lokar shifter for the 350 turbo. I'm leaving it black and will be doing the striping.

My wife is doing the inside. She put in bass boat bucket seats and some retro black shag carpet as well as insulating the cab and covering the insulation with wainscoat. The flat roof is a 60's era diner table which has to grow on you...I get mixed opinions on it. Women seem to like it most guys don't...Can't pleas everyone....

Welcome to RRR, irishmik. Nice start on the truck by you & your wife. That diner table roof is definitely different & neat.
