1953 tucker sno-cat body.

one of my facebook sites has this and the guy says he want to make it a street ride.

this is a 1953 tucker sno-cat body.

this body is 13'-0" long and only 36" wide, so i am thinking this thing would rock on a custom chassis and left fenderless.

can't be many of them left around anymore.

Later:cool:

you snow birds have some cool toys. i didn't know what it was and had to look it up. yes it could make a cool rod.

There was one just off I-40 in Gallup in a field with other cool old bodies.
I'm sure it's gone now but as soon as i saw it i wanted to put it on wheels.
It had more of a fastback style than this. I am looking on the net but not finding one like i saw.

They were bigger though. Those old Tuckers are way cool. I have seen a few over the years. There is a second hand store in Rapid City with one, has the flatty V8. Last time I was past the Eureka Lodge in Alsaka they still had one.

Here's a couple pics of one I found 2 years ago, not sure of the make.

Must have been astounding to see a flying machine for the first time. Horseless carriages and flying machines. An exciting time to live.
