I almost bought a brand new 1970 Z28 that had a sale price sticker of $2999.99, in the spring of 1970. Didn't buy it as I thought the price drop a bunch when it got to be 2 years old, BOY was I a dope!!

I remember telling a Plymouth salesman in 1969 that $3600 was too much for a Roadrunner, even if it did have a HEMI! I feel your pain...
