That's really great that he's interested in it and he's doing a good job of it to boot. I hope he sticks with it. Looks like he's a natural and would develop really rapidly. Pretty soon he can start selling those panels and pick up some extra bucks while he's practicing.

I told him, if he was serious about this, then every piece of equipment, and every scrap of metal around here should have some stripes on it. He then asked me about my skid steer. I said, okay but do it last.

thats great dude, painting is not a strong skill for me, I'm sure it will serve him well and save him a lot of cash (and maybe make him some as well).

Hey Bonehead. Its great to see him pluggin away at it. Tell him to check out http://www.rockyburris.com He's a great striper and there are some free online lessons and tons of useful info on his site. Also check out the links on the top of his page. Links to a pinstriping forum, places to buy supplies and tons of other great stuff. Keep us posted on his progress.

Keep up the encouragement. Looks like he's got a knack for striping. The more he does, the better he'll get. Any skill learned is a plus.

That's cool Bonehead, looks like a nice kid too. I watched a pinstriper working at the carshow Sunday. How they freehand such straight and curved lines is beyond me. He was slammed all day and I even talked to him about doing my grille and headlights with some subtle striping. Here is a picture of him at work.

Tell your Son to keep at it, seems to have a talent for it.

many many many MANY months or years of practice. I picked up a pinstriping brush about 3 months ago and I am still not all that good.

Thanks for all the support guys. One thing I forgot to tell you (Beamed the oldman) my kid has got some talent going for him as well. He picks up things pretty fast.
Last year he got a set of oil paints for Christmas, and this is what he came up with.
