I can't say enough good things about Lime Works in Whittier, Calif.
First class product line (I have one of there steering wheels, 4 spoke with holes, leather wrapped)
and their fabrication skills and customer service.
Big project was putting the pieces together on my steel quick change.
Smaller projects: Filling holes in dash, bending new tie rod, rewelding butchered rear axle spring mounts.

Outstanding customer service, always up front about time frame and pricing.
And they stick to the quote. :)

Big thanks to Steve and the group for everything. '22

OK....

wheres the pics man.....we need pictures!!!!

Ok.... ;)
1st picture is the spring mounts off of the rear end.
Someone, god knows why, decided to remove the rear spring
mounts off of the axle.
Then someone attempted to "wire weld" them up..
I pulled the backing plates to do the quick change assembly
and found this.
Lime Works ground and cleaned out the wounded area, and
welded it back up. :D
If not for the shiney area, you couldn't tell... First class job.

2nd picture shows steel banjo modified to a quick change rear
sometime in the late 50's, early 60's.
It was a typical modification for circle track cars of the time as
as the steel didn't break when you locked wheels or hit the wall,
like the aluminum ones did.
The housing was never finish machined.
Lime Works took the housing, my stock '46 banjo rear, bearings ,
spur gears and quill shaft that I collected, put them all together
(with a lot of thinking and fitting of parts by Steve), and presented
me with the finished rear.
Steve talked me into chroming it also.
Couldn't be happier with the quality of work.

3rd photo is with quick change under the car.
You can see the Lime Works steering wheel.
4th photo is a different angle with my 5'1" grandson by the car.

Dash board photos and other work they have done for me will
have to wait till I am back state side '22
