Dudes... I grew up watching that show! Fred Foy, the Lone Ranger announcer, dies at 89! Hi Ho Silver... Away!!!

Fred Foy was the announcer on the show.....Clayton Moore played the Lone Ranger.....He died in 1999

Saturday mornings I was glued to the TV set, and the Lone Ranger was one of my favs too. The best episode was the first one where they showed how the Lone Ranger came to be. He was one of 6 Rangers ambushed and he is the only one who survived. Tonto nursed him back from the dead and he wore a mask so no one would know who he was........he wanted people to think he died too in that ambush.

Those were the days.
