I always wanted something chopped and lowered. Now if I could only grow a pompador.

As an ex-president said, "I feel your pain". I just sold one to help finance future projects.:( On the other hand, giving up a Model A Coupe??? Is that legal???:D

I have always regretted selling my old hot rods.....but I got over it!!
Specially when I started a new project!:D
Go for it!!

Both cool cars but completely different. Is that Bad Bob's son's shoebox?
Yes it is. Bob ran the ad on the other site. We go the breakfast every Sat. As a joke, I said I'd have to sell one of my cars to buy that bad mama jama. Bob said, "You wanna trade?". I figured he'd want cash too, so I said I'd think about it. Went home and told the wife. She said, "You know I might quit my job!" Rats, guess I'm not trading. I got money but I'd better save it. Bob came over with the car and said he was sold. It was up to me. Went for a drive in the sled, then traded straight across.

Its been sitting for awhile and needs work, but now I'm jazzed for a change. I'm just going to fix the things that are wrong with it to make it a reliable driver, add a/c, but more or less, the car will look the same.

I happened to catch Bad Bob's Thread earlier this morning and knew you had taken the leap. In this wonderful hobby there's so many ways to go and it is all fun, especially if you can get a cool car you really like. In about 20 minutes I'm leaving to deliver my '35 International to its new owner. Need the $$$ for other projects.
I'm sure you'll enjoy your new ride.

I saw Bobs thread too on the HAMB, he is totally stoked about the coupe being his now. That's cool, both of you are happy. I like your shoebox too, and from everything that I've seen your coupe was done right.

Good for both of you. :):)

How to you like the shoebox now that you own it?
I've always liked the car. I wanted a chopped top merc with flames but I can't afford one. This was the next best thing. The car looks good but mechanically, it needs work. I just ordered new dropped leaf springs for the rear. The ones on the car is a new mono that raised the car too much so they flipped it over. The rear air ride needs to be re-wired and I'm gonna add another compressor. Takes too long to air up. The drivers door and passenger door glass needs to be put back in. Needs solenoids added to the doors (shaved). Needs new seat brackets and sliders. The original builder was tall so he cut the rear legs off of the seat. I can barley reach the pedals. Since it needs a new radiator, I'm also gonna add a/c.
