just had to share my holiday weekend... Thurs/22nd I hauled off a load of scrap metal and somehow hurt my back pretty bad. Friday I couldn't get out of bed w/o help, and when I went to the chiropractor his comment after looking at my x-ray was "you really done it up right" well if you're gonna do a job do it right! anyway I spent fri nite, sat, sat nite, and most of Sunday flat on my back.... after a week of practically doing nothing, today i finally felt like sitting at the computer for a few minutes. if there is a moral to this story--be careful out there:rolleyes:

Unfortunately I can feel your pain...I've been laid up like that too, and I bet even sitting at the computer for as long as you did hurt too.

Hope your well on your way to recovering and be more careful next time

Man, I feel your pain. I spent way to many years not paying attention to how I used my back. Well in May of 2004 it gave up, and I ended up in the Hospital having surgury. VERY VERY PAINFULL. The most amazing part of it was I was in and out of the hospital in less than 24 hrs and the sent me home to recover. Now I bend at the knees.......ALWAYS.

Oh yeah, and I was out of work for over a yr.

My back use to ache all the time. Then I got into weight training. Never felt better.

A gal in my neighborhood, who is in her 70's, use to be a marathon runner. Doctors told her she would need a hip replacement. She heard about a guy that specializes in weight training for the elderly. She now holds the worlds record for power lifting, for her age and weight group. PS - she still has her old hip
