A nice assortment of components you have. Makes building easier and faster. Looking forward to following along.

Set the frame on jackstands to level it before I braced it and cut the rear crossmember off and replace it.
I couldn't believe my shop floor was still level! It was just a hair off side to side and front to back!
Welder up!!👍😎

Bolted the spring to the front just to look at it!

Set the rear end under it too. Starting to look like something.

Got a big box from speedway and eBay yesterday and today! 😁
I found on ebay an engine and transmission Cross members, mounts, and bolts for $80 free shipping. It's for a SBC and TH350/400 but for that price I can make it fit anything. Oh it's for 48-54 Chevy trucks.

I also got a rear crossmember for coil springs.
Corvair pitman arm and radius rod mounts.
I'm still waiting for rear suspension parts.

Cut the rivets off holding the original rear crossmember and removed it from the frame. I did weld a couple angle irons on the frame to brace it.

I mocked up the new crossmember but I didn't do a kickup like I thought I wanted.
We'll see what the height will be when I get the heavy stuff on it.

Welded the top side of the crossmember on to the frame. I'll finish welding it up when I get the front crossmember in and flip the frame over.
I bent the steering arm to clear the spring perch.

Ground and drilled out the rivets holding the front crossmember onto the frame. Then knocked it out.
I have a front and rear crossmember for sale if someone what to make their own frame. Just need two 2X4 channels.

Put the new 2" lowering crossmember in. I moved it forward about an inch because I can. You can always use an extra inch!
I also tilted it back about 8-9°.
